Ried is S.I.R.’s in-house Swiss Army Knife. As a Senior Director of AI Strategy, he leads S.I.R.’s exploration and deployment of A.I. tools throughout the organization. When he’s not driving innovation at S.I.R., he supports many of S.I.R.’s clients understand the game-changing technology, what it’s capable of today, where it’s going tomorrow and how organizations can start their own exploration work. His expertise and insights are frequently sought by boards of directors, leadership teams and startups looking to leverage A.I. tools to do more with less.
Ried’s client-service work has included all manner of research, strategic planning, and communications initiatives. He can bring an impressive range of research and planning skills to any project, including interview, focus group and workshop facilitation, quantitative research and analysis, strategic planning (for small teams to an entire city), collateral production, website development, workflow automation and custom AI tooling (just to name a few). Above all, Ried’s ability to think on his feet, solve problems, and stay focused on what matters are what make him a invaluable member of any project team.
Beyond his project-focused skills, Ried also heads up S.I.R.’s Institute for Tomorrow work, where he researches and reports on demographic, societal, cultural, generational, technological, industry, and “wildcard” trends. Since none of S.I.R.’s strategic projects happen in a vacuum, these insights provide a unique and valuable lens that ensures all of S.I.R.’s recommendations are holistic, data-driven and forward-thinking.
I Can Fix That
Throughout my college experience, I worked part-time as a bicycle mechanic at a local shop. I love to tinker, and the job really scratched that itch for me. It also taught me that solving complex problems (much like troubleshooting a clunky drivetrain) often just takes breaking things down into pieces, doing a little investigating, and putting them back together in the right order (with a little grease, of course).
That’s not unlike what we deliver for our clients. We help solve problems big and small by organizing the situation, uncovering insights, and collaborating on an optimal path forward. We bring a trained eye and steady hand to every situation, like mechanics, but for businesses. I guess you could say our work still scratches that itch for me.
